Teddy Swims & LaRussell Perform Their Hits At The Opening Tailgate

Teddy Swims and LaRussell hit the stage to hype up the crowd before the Big Game.

On Sunday afternoon, February 8, the Georgia native performed with his band Freak Freely at the Super Bowl LX Tailgate Concert presented by NetApp. He opened up his set with songs like "Without You" and "Hammer To The Heart" from his hit album I've Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 1). He continued with other hits like "Lose Control," "She Likes The Rain," "Devil In A Dress," "Funeral," and "Are You Even Real," with singer Devin Velez holding down Givēon's part. He closed out with his smash hits "Bed On Fire" and "The Door."

"The Super Bowl is one of those events I grew up watching with my dad and brothers and have always dreamed of being at and performing!" Swims said in a statement ahead of the Super Bowl LX Tailgate Concert. "Coming from a football family -- I played and watched my whole life - the Super Bowl was a favorite past time for me and my family to get around and hang together. It's an honor to be a part of it and kick off the game!"

Before Teddy's set, LaRussell opened up the Tailgate with his energetic set. He came equipped with a full band as they performed songs like "I'm From The Bay" from his upcoming album, Something's In The Water. The Vallejo native brought his indie hits to the stage days after he signed a distribution deal with Roc Nation. He announced the shocking news during his interview with The Breakfast Club on Friday morning.

"TODAY WE MAKE HISTORY!!! FROM THE BACKYARD TO SUPERBOWL INDEPENDENTLY!!! AND I BROUGHT ALL THE HOMIES WITH ME," LaRussell wrote on X before the show. "I AINT GET TO THE TOP AND PULL THE LADDER! AND I'M STILL MYSELF. I AINT SELL MY SOUL OR SELL MYSELF SHORT TO GET HERE. I STILL GOT MY DIGNITY AND MY MASTERS!!!"

The Big Game is set to feature more performances from Green Day, Charlie Puth, Brandi Carlisle, Coco Jones and Bad Bunny. Green Day will perform at the opening ceremony while Charlie Puth will sing the National Anthem. Carlisle is set to deliver "America The Beautiful" and Jones will belt out "Lift Every Voice & Sing." Bad Bunny will takeover the halftime show with his medley of hits.
