If you've ever wondered how you make a hit song like Roddy Ricch's "The Box," Genius has you covered. Well, kind of.
Producers 30 Roc and Dat Boi Squeeze aren't entirely sure why their beat for "The Box" worked so well, but they're definitely believers in less is more. Throughout the video, they acknowledge that their beat is simple but thanks to a few adjustments to the track's equalizer and some simple effects, it's taken to new heights.
There is one aspect of the production that the producers aren't willing to explain for people. There's a reverse 808 track that people are struggling to recreate, but the two insist that it's really simple.
